Traditionally Spring is thought to start on the night of 20/21 March. This is the date of the vernal equinox which denotes the time when the day starts to be longer than the night.
What is Spring?
Spring is one of the four temperate seasons, and marks the transition from Winter to Summer. It starts in March and lasts until the start of Summer (the Summer Solstice) at the end of June. Traditionally Spring is a time when many cultures and societies celebrate ideas of rebirth, renewal and regrowth.
Traditional Spring symbols include; spring bulbs and flower including daffodils, crocus and tulips, baby animals and birds and tree blossom.
