In the UK, National Poetry Day 2015 falls on 8 October 2015 and this year the theme is ‘Light’.
About National Poetry Day
National Poetry Day was founded in 1995 by William Sieghart of the Forward Arts Foundation to fuel and inspire the nation’s enthusiasm and love for poetry.
National Poetry Day is really simple to get involved with. It’s a day for poetry readings, quizzes, competitions, exhibitions and recitations with lots of poetry events and activities being organised by the Forward Arts Foundation.
